Eagles Fall At Holy Family 1-0

Post Outshoots Tigers 14-11



PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Post University men's soccer team was defeated on Saturday afternoon by Holy Family in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference road game.  The Eagles outshot the Tigers 14-11 in the loss.
 
Post challenged the Tigers' goalkeeper just once in the first half. After a corner kick by junior Tiago Martins (Porto, Portugal), junior Raphael Moura (Danbury, Conn.) launched a shot at goal but it was stopped by Richard Ongaro.
 
Holy Family broke the scoreless tie in the 41st minute with as Justin Hiltwine bent in a goal off a corner kick.
 
The Eagles controlled the second half, outshooting Holy Family 12-2 in the period, but were unable to score. Martins had a chance to tie the game in the 68th minute that was saved. In the final three minutes, Post had three shots.
 
Moura and junior Mamadee Kamara (Monrovia, Liberia) led Post with three shots each.
 
Post returns home on Tuesday, Sept. 30 against Caldwell. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
