WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team will play three matches in three days starting Wednesday, April 9 against American International College at Edgewood Bath and Tennis, Middlebury at 3 p.m.
The Eagles (5-8, 2-1 CACC) are coming off a tough loss against regionally-ranked Stonehill, dropping the non-conference match 8-1 last Sunday. Freshman
Alejandro Perez (Colombia) set the program record for most singles victories in a season when he earned Post's only point against Stonehill.
Post has faced AIC three times, and has a 1-2 record against the Yellow Jackets. Last time both teams met, the Eagles fell 5-4 on April 8, 2013 at Edgewood Bath and Tennis.
Next, the Eagles will travel to Bronxville, N.Y. on April 10, to face #6 Concordia in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. The Clippers are coming back from Florida with a 2-0 record after defeating #13 Valdosta St. and William Carey. Last year Post lost 9-0 to the Clippers at home.
Post then visits CACC rival Philadelphia on April 11. The Rams are on a five game losing streak. Last time out they dropped an 8-1 decision to USciences. The Rams only win came at number two doubles. Last time both team met, Post lost 8-1 on April 13, 2013.
