Perez Sets Record In Post's Loss To Stonehill

Perez Earns Ninth Singles Victory To Set School Record

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team lost to East Region #9 Stonehill 8-1 on Sunday afternoon at Edgewood Bath and Tennis.
 
The Eagles (5-8) lost all three doubles. Junior Nicholas Tadros (Montreal, Quebec) and sophomore Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) closed up their deficit by coming back from 6-2 but fell short at number two singles 8-5.
 
In singles action, freshmen Alejandro Perez (Colombia) earned the Eagles' only point of the day winning at number three singles. Perez come back from one set down to beat Philip Klados 2-6, 7-5, 10-7. That marks Perez's ninth win of the season, setting the program record for most singles victories in a season.
 
Post hosts American International on Wednesday, April 9 at 3 p.m. at Edgewood Bath and Tennis.
