Men’s Tennis Picks Up First Conference Victory

Eagles Take Both Matches Against Bloomfield

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team picked two wins on Thursday against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foe Bloomfield at Edgewood Bath and Tennis. The first match of the day was played as a non-conference tilt.
 
The Eagles (4-7, 1-1 CACC) entered singles action sweeping all three doubles in the first match. Junior Nicholas Tadros (Montreal, Quebec), sophomore Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt), junior Jonathyn Young (Norwalk, Conn.) and freshman Tyler Rudenacht (Sandy Hook, Conn.) won at second and third doubles 8-1. Sophomore David Narovec (Linz, Austria) and freshman Alejandro Perez (Colombia) had tough time at number one doubles but came out with a 9-8 (7-5) win.
 
In singles action, Narvoec and Redenacht swept their matches 8-0 at number four and five. Fanous, Perez and freshman Ryan Moffat (London, England) surrendered one game but each came out victorious 8-1. Tadros finished up the first game beating Ceran Messam 8-5 at number one.
  
In the second game of the day, Post earned its first conference win taking with another 9-0 victory. Fanous, Tadros, Young and Redenact won doubles at one and three spot 8-2. Perez and Narvoc swept number two doubles, 8-0.
 
In singles, four Eagles took their matches without giving their opponents one game. Narvoec gave up one game at number five. Perez finished up the night with a 9-7 win at number three, earning his sixth straight singles win and team-high eighth overall.
 
Post will be back in action on Saturday, March 29 against Philadelphia in a conference match in Philadelphia, Pa. First serve set for 2 p.m.
