MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team won its second game of the season taking down Dowling College 8-1 on Sunday afternoon at Edgewood Bath and Tennis.
The Eagles (2-7) came out strong and swept all three doubles. Junior
Nicholas Tadros (Quebec, Canada), sophomore
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt), freshman Matthew Tyler Rudenacht (Sandy Hook, CT) and junior
Jonathyn Young (Norwalk, CT) swept their opponents 8-0 at second and third doubles. Sophomore
David Narovec (Linz, Austria) and freshman
Alejandro Perez (Colombia) beat David Lembke and Logan Schiff 8-5 at number one doubles, respectively.
In singles action, Perez won his fourth straight singles match and his sixth of the year by defeating Justin Skidmore 6-2, 6-1 in the third spot. Senior
Danny Bonamassa (Staten Island, NY) cruised easily with a 6-0, 6-2 win in the sixth spot. At the second spot, Fanous had an easy first set taking it 6-0 before claiming the second set 7-5. Narovec and Redenacht won their second singles games of the season winning in the fourth and fifth slots, respectively.
The Eagles will be back in action with their second conference game at Bloomfield College on Thursday, March 27. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
