Men’s Tennis Drops Season Opener 5-4 to STAC

Tadros Grabs Victory In First Singles

DANBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team dropped its first home game of the season 5-4 to Saint Thomas Aquinas at Danbury Sports and Wellness on Wednesday night.

The Eagles came out with one win at doubles action.  Junior Jonathyn Young (Norwalk, Conn.) teamed up with freshman Ryan Moffat (London, England) to beat Thomas Schumann and William Tronsor 8-3 at number three spot.

In singles, sophomore Nicholas Tadros (Montreal, Quebec) had to fight back from 5-7 down to beat Antoine Venard 9-8 (7-3) at the number one spot. The other two wins came at number four and six. Freshman Alajandro Perez (Colombia) beat Antoine Venard 8-6 while senior Danny Bonamassa (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished up the night with an easy 8-1 win.

The Eagles will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 28 against ASA College in Brooklyn, NY, at 8 a.m. before they take off to Florida for spring break.
