WATERBURY, Conn. – Post men's basketball opens its home schedule on Sunday, Nov. 30 as it welcomes Northeast-10 foe Stonehill to the Drubner Center for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off. The Eagles defeated the Skyhawks in the only other meeting between the two teams back in 2009. This is the latest Post has played its first game at home since the 2009-10 season.

The Eagles won the battle of the boards, holding a 41-33 advantage overall and 18-6 offensively.
Joseph Lockwood (London, England) led Post with 15 points and nine rebounds.
Early on neither team could gain an advantage as the lead changed hands six times over the first ten minutes. Post took its largest lead of the game at 19-15 after freshman
Malik Howze (Detroit, Mich.) hit from distance. Nick Smith led the Chargers back in front 26-20 with five points as part of an 11-1 run. Sophomore
Jah'sheme Ringgold (Easton, Md.) tied the score 26-26 with steal and a dunk with just under two minutes left. Dominican took a 32-28 lead into the break.
The Chargers extended their advantage to seven to start the second half, but Post responded with seven straight points capped by a three-pointer by senior
Nardie Bogues (Baltimore, Md.) to tied the game 37-37. The Eagles were unable to contain Smith, who finished with a game-high 36 points, as he scored 15 straight Dominican points to help build their largest lead of the game.
Scouting the SkyhawksStonehill is 4-1 to begin the season and has defeated two other CACC opponents in Dominican and Caldwell. Last time out the Skyhawks suffered their first loss of the season 77-76 to Franklin Pierce. Carter Smith leads the team at 19.0 points per game. Senior Jack Cole averages 14.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest. The Skyhawks were selected to finish seventh in the NE-10 Northeast Division.

Hitting the GlassThis season Post has outrebounded its opponents in all but its season-opener and is second in the CACC with 40.0 rebounds per game, including a season-high 48 in its victory over Concordia. The Eagles have hit the offensive glass hard, holding a 70-34 advantage over its opponents this year. Post's offensive rebound average of 17.5 per game is good for eighth in Division II. The Eagles have grabbed a season-high 21 offensive boards twice in games against Daemen and Concordia.

Matt Mareno (San Francisco, Calif.) was named CACC Rookie of the Week on Nov. 24.
Mareno averaged 20.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games for the Eagles this week. In Post's, 81-65 victory over Concordia, he scored 28 points and grabbed 14 boards. Mareno helped lead the Eagles back from a 13-point second half deficit with 16 points in the period. Against Dominican he scored 12 points and added seven rebounds. This season Mareno leads the team with 15.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
Starting From ScratchThe Eagles return just one player from a year ago in sophomore
Rokas Lapsys (Vilnius, Lithuania). Lapsys appeared in just three games, averaging 9.3 minutes per outing. This year's roster features 13 players including six freshman, two sophomores, four juniors, and one senior. The players come from all over the globe with two from England in freshmen
Kyle Squire (Cheshire, England) and
Joseph Lockwood (London, England) and one from Australia, junior
Shannon McCready (Melbourne, Australia) and Lithuania.
Preseason PollPost was picked to finish fifth in the CACC North Division this year. The Eagles received 41 votes. Bloomfield and Philadelphia were selected to finish first in the North and South Divisions, respectively.
