Men’s Soccer Drops Contest At Felician, 2-1

Moura Scores Lone Eagles’ Goal

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Post University men's soccer team was defeated on the road at Felician on Thursday night, 2-1, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest. Junior Raphael Moura (Danbury, Conn.) scored his team-high sixth goal of the season in defeat.

"We haven't learned from mistakes this year. We're a naive team that is getting inconsistent play from our upperclassmen. You can't get results that way," said head coach Ted Haley.

The teams fought back and forth early on. Senior Souleymane Kone (Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire) had Post's best chance in the first half as he hit the crossbar. The Golden Falcons got on the board soon after as Corey Telfer scored on a shot off the fingertips of the Eagles sophomore goalkeeper Jon Hanlon (Centereach, N.Y.).

In the 60th minute, Rafa Coronel put Felician up 2-0 on a rebound. Moura added a late goal for the Eagles.

"Tonight was very disappointing after two good performances and beating a great team like Wilmington. For the first time since I've been here we are fighting for our lives to earn a spot in the tournament," added Haley.

The Eagles will look to get back on track on Saturday as they visit Philadelphia. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
