WATERBURY, Conn. –The Post University women's volleyball team prepares for a stretch of three road games all of which have conference implications. The Eagles will travel to Rutherford, N.J. to take on the Golden Falcons of Felician College. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Later in the week Post looks to get even at Orangeburg, N.Y. facing Dominican College for their second meeting of the season. This match is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. Post will turn around to play in Philadelphia, PA. on Saturday, Oct. 11 as the Eagles battle the Devils of University of the Sciences for a noon start.

Scouting the OppositionAccording to the Coaches' Preseason Poll, Felician was picked to finish sixth in the North Division of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Thus far, the Golden Falcons have played to a 3-4 conference record, and stand 5-6 overall. Junior Sarah Shebel (Chandler, Ariz.) ranks third in the CACC in service aces per set. Felician is coming off of a 3-1 loss at Chestnut Hill. The Lady Chargers of Dominican remain atop of the CACC standings with a conference best 6-1 record, and 9-1 on the season. The impact player of the match for Dominican is sophomore Mckenzie John (Lafayette, La.) who finished with 26 kills against the Eagles in their first meeting of the season and averages 5.51 kills per set, good enough to lead the CACC in this category. University of the Sciences was projected to finish sixth in the South Division of the CACC. Thus far, the Devils are winless in the conference at 0-6, and own a 1-8 record overall.

All-Time Series vs. FelicianPost has had success against the Golden Falcons leading the all-time series 17-3. However, two of the three losses Post has suffered against the opposition have come in the previous season. The Eagles are 6-1 in Rutherford, N.J. and will look for another CACC victory.

Skylar German has been named the CACC Player of the Week. She is the first Eagle to earn the honor since 2007. This year, German leads the Eagles in kills (88), hitting percentage (.414), service aces (11), and total blocks (26). She is also in the top five in the conference in all four categories. In Post's victory over Clark Atlanta on Sept. 13 she recorded the second-highest hitting percentage in CACC history at .800 (12 kills, 15 attacks, 0 errors).

Approaching MilestonesJulia Slyaktina enters the week with 2,098 assists in her career, good for fourth all-time. She is just one of four players to record over 1,000 career assists and just 245 assists away from Desere Obregon for third place all-time. The senior recorded 753 assists a year ago.Â
Emily Wilman could become just the third player to join the 1,000 kill-1,000 dig club this season. She sits 119 kills and 56 digs away from the milestone.

Preseason PrognosticationsThe Post volleyball team was picked to finish fifth in the CACC North Division in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles earned 47 points, just two behind fourth-place Bloomfield. Caldwell and Wilmington were picked atop the North and South Divisions, respectively.

On The HorizonThe action continues the following week when the Eagles play another three game slate on the road. Post will travel to Pleasantville, N.Y. to face off against Pace University in a non-conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 14 scheduled for 7 p.m. The Eagles will fly to Nyack, N.Y. on Friday, Oct. 17 to battle Nyack College in their second conference meeting of the season. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Post will round out the week in Philadelphia, PA. in a CACC matchup against the Rams of Philadelphia University on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.Â
