WATERBURY, Conn. –The Post University women's volleyball team prepares for another three game slate on the road, all of which have Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) implications. The Eagles will host the Cougars of Caldwell University at the Drubner Center on Wednesday, Oct. 22 scheduled for a 7 p.m. start. Later in the week Post will travel to Wilmington, Del. for two matches; the first on Friday, Oct. 24 when the Eagles square off against the Lightening of Goldey-Beacom College at 7 p.m. Post will turn around and play the Wildcats of Wilmington University on Saturday, Oct. 25. First serve is set for 12 p.m.

Scouting the OppositionCaldwell will enter the game against the Eagles at 10-2 in the CACC, sitting atop the North Division one spot better than Post. The Cougars are 15-7 on the season and are riding a six game winning streak. Jaclyn Del cid (Bogota, N.J.) will be an impact player for Caldwell. The senior libero has recorded a conference leading 449 digs on the season and ranks second in the CACC in digs per set (5.68); expect the Corvias ECAC libero of the week to be a difference maker.

Goldey-Beacom enters the week 5-8 in conference play, and 11-12 overall. This will be the first and only meeting between the two teams this season. The impact player for the Lightening will be senior, outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown, Pa.). McCoy has recorded a conference best 332 kills on the season and averages 4.15 kills per set, ranking second in the CACC in this category.

Wilmington enters the week owning an 8-3 conference record, locked in a tie for second place in the South Division. The Wildcats are 12-12 overall this season. The impact player for Wilmington will be the junior libero Shelby Henderson (Wilmington, Del.). Henderson has recorded 431 digs on the year and ranks fourth in the CACC in digs per set averaging 4.63.

All-Time Series vs. CaldwellThe Eagles haven't fared well against the Cougars in the all-time series, recording just four wins in 16 meetings. The 12 losses have come consecutively, and Post looks to break the skid at the Drubner Center and pick up a conference win.

Skylar German (Kansas City, Mo.) was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week on Wednesday, Oct. 8. It's the first time this season she has achieved the honor. In three matches the week prior, German recorded team highs in kills (43), blocks (11), and hitting percentage (.458). Against Concordia, she had 12 kills on 19 attacks and no errors for an impressive .632 hitting percentage. It marked the fourth time this year she's hit over .600 in a game. In the Eagles' 3-2 loss to Dominican, German had 17 kills, 11 digs, and five blocks.

This season, German leads the CACC and is fifth in Division II with a .428 hitting percentage. She is also in the top-five in the conference in kills per set (3.74), blocks (51), and points (249.5).

Approaching MilestonesJulia Slyaktina enters the week with 2,338 assists in her career, good for fourth all-time. She is just one of four players to record over 1,000 career assists and just five assists away from Desere Obregon for third place all-time. The senior recorded 753 assists a year ago.Â
Emily Wilman could become just the third player to join the 1,000 kill-1,000 dig club this season. She sits 55 kills away from the milestone.

Preseason PrognosticationsThe Post volleyball team was picked to finish fifth in the CACC North Division in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles earned 47 points, just two behind fourth-place Bloomfield. Caldwell and Wilmington were picked atop the North and South Divisions, respectively.

On The HorizonThe Eagles will travel to Caldwell, N.J. to face the Cougars of Caldwell University in their second meeting of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 29 scheduled for 7 p.m. Post will host the Bears of Bloomfield College for their second meeting of the season on Thursday, Oct. 30. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at the Drubner Center.Â
