WATERBURY, Conn. – After a week off, the Post University sprint football team returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. against Mansfield. The Eagles have defeated the Mountaineers the past two times the teams have met. This will be Mansfield's first trip to LaMoy Field.

Army scored on its first three possessions of the second half to take the lead for good. Volpe finished with 139 yards and two touchdowns. Junior
Jay'Len Mahan (Waterbury, Conn.) had a game-high 174 all-purpose yards, including punt returns of 46 and 40 yards, and 55 receiving yards and a score.

Scouting the MountaineersMansfield enters Saturday at 0-2 on the young season after falling to Penn and Navy in its first two games. The Mountaineers led Navy 14-6 at the break, but allowed 20 points in the third quarter in the loss. Quarterback Mike Maniscalco is second in the CSFL with 422 passing yards and wide receivier Joe Bucek leads the conference with 15 receptions and is second with 178 yards. Offensively, Mansfield averages 238 yards per game and allows 340.5 per game.

All-Time SeriesPost and Mansfield have split the previous four meetings between the two teams, but the Eagles have come out on top the last two times. Last season, the Mountaineers battled back from a 35-7 deficit to pull within two before Post intercepted and returned a two-point conversion attempt in the final seconds.

Anthony Jamele currently has 11.5 sacks and is just 2.5 away for Chris Lopez's record.
Greg Volpe can become Post's all-time leader in passing yards with 568 more yards and touchdowns with six more.
Jay'Len Mahan is currently the leader in all-purpose yards, but can become the third member of the 1,000-yard club with 222 receiving yards and the all-time leader with 252 yards. He also needs six touchdowns to break Dan Awwad's record of 15.
