WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's basketball team looks for its third-consecutive victory on Wednesday night as it hosts Felician in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division matchup. The Golden Falcons defeated the Eagles 80-74 on Nov. 26, but Post has won the last four meetings between the two at the Drubner Center.

The Eagles picked up their second-consecutive victory on Jan. 14 as they defeated Concordia at home. Senior
Derrick Strong (St. Louis, Mo.) led all scorers with 15 points on the night. He also added five rebounds, four assists, and six steals.

Post went up 10-3 on a three-pointer by senior
Devin Willis (Seattle, Wash.) at the 14:00 mark of the first half. Concordia answered with a 7-0 run to tie the game. From there it was all Post as the Eagles exploded to a 24-10 run to end the half and went into the break ahead 34-20.

The second half was much of the same as the Clippers never managed to get closer than 12 points. A layup by senior
Jerry Cummings (Queens, N.Y.) off a dish from Strong put the Eagles ahead 47-27 at the 15:47 mark of the second. Post led by as many as 34 points before it was over.

Scouting the Golden Falcons
Felician enters the game with a record of 4-12 overall and 2-7 in conference play. The Golden Falcons have dropped their last seven games. Their last CACC victory came against Post on Nov. 26. Anthony Obery leads the team at 13.5 points per game and is second in the conference at 47.2 percent from long range. Jeyvi Miavivululu is the top rebounder at 6.6 per contest. Felician is second in the conference at 40.4 rebounds per game.

The Eagles are 13-11 all-time against the Golden Falcons, but have dropped the last two meetings. Before the past two games, Post had won the previous six in a row, including four straight at home.

Juggling The Lineup
Post has used seven different starting lineups this season and a total of 12 players have made at least one start.
Derrick Strong has started 14 of the Eagles' 15 games, only coming off the bench in the opener against Southern New Hampshire.

Effrin Ellison leads the CACC with a 47.9 shooting percentage from behind the arc.
Derrick Strong is second in the conference at 2.5 steals per game, which is good for 16
th in the nation. Post is second in the CACC at 7.7 steals per game. The Eagles are 44
th in the country with 8.7 threes made per contest.

Coming Up Short
Out of Post's losses this season, six have come by just a combined 20 points. In two of the games, the Eagles had a last-second chance for victory. Against Bridgeport, Post had possession with 0:04 left in an 87-85 defeat. Last time out against LIU-Post, the Eagles had two chances in the final three seconds before falling 67-66. Post hit two late shots against Nyack to send the game into two overtimes, but came up short 106-101.

Honored For Defensive Prowess
Derrick Strong was named CACC Defensive Player of the week on Dec. 9 and Jan. 20. Strong tied a career-high with six steals in Post's 79-50 victory over Concordia on Jan. 14. The senior also had six steals in Post's victory over Wilmington on Dec. 7. He is the second Eagle to receive the honor this season after
AJ Harris on Nov. 11. In his Eagles debut against Southern New Hampshire on Nov. 9, Harris recorded seven steals, which was the highest single-game total since the 2006-07 season.

The Road Ahead
Post hits the road on Saturday, Jan. 25 to face Holy Family. The Tigers lead the South Division with a 13-5 overall record and 7-2 conference record. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
