Post Loses Tight Game To Queens

Six More Saves For McConnell

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Post University women's soccer team lost its second match of the season, 1-0 against Queens College at the Mercy College tournament.

Grace McConnell (Leeds, England) had six saves for Post (0-2-0, 0-0-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference) giving her 14 saves for the season. Lorena Russi scored in the 49th minute for Queens, for the only score of the game. It was assisted by Nicolette Scrozzo. Queens is now 2-0 overall on the season.

Alison Mrowinski (Syracuse, N.Y.), Sylvia Yanez (West Haven, Conn.) and Tessa Dunster (Stamford, Conn.) each had a shot on goal for the Eagles.

Mersina Onesto had three saves for Queens.

Next up for Post is their home opener against Lincoln University at LaMoy Field at 4 p.m. on September 10.
