Box Score

WILMINGTON, Del. - Lexxi Carroll (Plainville, Conn.) scored a goal and assisted on another as the Post Women's Soccer team defeated Goldey-Beacom, 3-0 in Wilmington, Del. The win gave Post its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory of the season.

Post (2-3, 1-1 CACC) scored all of its goals in the second half, after putting four shots on goal in the first half of the game.

The scoring started in the 63rd minute, as Tessa Dunster's (Stamford, Conn.) shot sailed over goalkeeper Cindell Aguirre's head and into the net. The goal was Dunster's second of the season.

Ten minutes later, Carroll scored her third goal of the season after collecting a loose ball, beating a defender and putting it in the net. It was the third straight game with a goal for Carroll.

In the 80th minute, Valerie Moore (Bloomfield, Conn.) took a crossing shot from Carroll and scored. It was the first goal of the freshman's career.

Goalkeeper Grace McConnell (Leeds, England) was not tested throughout the match as Goldey-Beacom (0-3-0, 0-3-0 CACC) had no shots on goal, and just one shot overall to Post's 15.

Up next for the Eagles is at Dominican on September 25th. The team returns home on September 29th against Holy Family at noon.
