WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Post University sprint football team lost its first road game of the season 38-6 on Friday night against Army. Freshman
James Harrington (Danbury, Conn.) had another big game on the ground as he rushed for 152 yards.

Harrington began early as he ran for 23 yards on five carries on the Eagles' opening drive, but Post couldn't capitalize and ended up punting. After another Eagles punt, James Wartski found Kevin O'Brien twice to lead to a Black Knights field goal that put them ahead 3-0 midway through the first quarter.

Freshman
Javon Martin (Waterbury, Conn.) was picked off by Dylan Doty on the Post 10-yard line with under a minute left in the first quarter. Doty returned the turnover for a touchdown to put Army in front 10-0.

After another Army touchdown, the Eagles' drive stalled after four plays and they were forced to punt. Senior
Daniel Awwad (Waterbury, Conn.) kicked it down to the Post 40-yard line and it was misplayed by Nolan Jones. Senior
Mike Chance (Alpharetta, Ga.) recovered the fumbled and returned it 18 yards to the Army 42-yard line, but Post couldn't make anything out of the drive.

With under a minute left in the first half, Martin threw a deep ball to sophomore
Jay'Len Mahan (Waterbury, Conn.) who caught it for a 51-yard touchdown to close the gap to 17-6. The point after attempt was blocked by the Black Knights.

The teams went back in forth in the third quarter as Post turned the ball over on downs in each of its first three drives, Army punted three times in the quarter. On the Eagles' third possession of the half, Harrington broke his longest rush of the game for 40 yards. Army added another score before the end of the period.

Post recovered another fumble on a punt late in the fourth quarter but couldn't get anything going.

The Eagles outrushed the Black Knights 117-42 on the night. Martin finished with 102 yards and one touchdown. Mahan had five receptions for 94 yards a and a score.

Chris Leggio (Brewster, Conn.), sophomore
Anthony Jamele (Terryville, Conn.), and senior
Shaquille Williams (St Augustine, Fla.) led the Eagles with five tackles each. Leggio and Jamele also added a sack apiece. Freshman
Shaun Terrell (New Brunswick, N.J.) had one interception to go along with four tackles.
