MIDDLEBURY, Conn.. - The Post University men's tennis team put an end to its losing streak as it cruised over Mitchell College 9-0 in a non-conference match at Edgewood Bath & Tennis on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles came out strong by winning second and third doubles 8-1. Freshman Nick Tadros (Montreal, Canada) and senior
Mateus Garcia (Sao Lourenco, Brazil) clinched first doubles 8-6.
In singles action, Tadros, ophomore
Dreshawn Lewis (Norwalk, Conn.) and junior
Danny Bonamassa (Staten Island, N.Y.) each had 6-0, 6-0 wins in first, third and sixth singles, respectively . Freshman
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) and Garcia won 6-1, 6-1 in second and fifth singles.
Sophomore
Jonathyn Young (Norwalk, Conn.) had a tough battle in the first set of his match but managed to pull a 6-4 victory before taking over the second set 6-0.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, March 30 against Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
