PHILADELPHIA – The Post University men's tennis team had seven players compete in singles and three doubles pairs in action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional Tournament last weekend. Sophomores
Christ-Brian Amedjonekou (Queens, N.Y.) and
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) advanced to the Round of 16 in doubles.
Amedjonekou and Fanous bested Josh Greenberg and Matthew Germani, 8-3 in the first round. The duo fell to Rodrigo Ribeiro and Raghav Tanna in the Round of 16. The final score was 8-4.
In singles action, the Eagles dropped all eight of their first round matches. Amedjonekou dropped an 8-3 decision to Bentley's Jimmy Rindo.
Post will compete in its first dual match of the year on Sunday, Sept. 30, when it hosts Regis. First serves are slated for 1 p.m.
