MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team set a program record with its third straight victory, after the Eagles notched a 7-2 triumph over Bloomfield in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. With the win, Post improved to 3-3 in conference matches. For the third straight match, the Eagles won five out of six singles contests.
Junior
Mateus Garcia (Sao Lourenco, Brazil), sophomore
Danny Bonamassa (Staten Island, N.Y.) and senior
Markeese MCleod (Waterbury, Conn.) all won their third straight singles matches at the fourth, fifth and sixth singles spot, respectively. Garcia clinched the match for Post (4-8, 3-3 CACC) with his 6-1, 6-2 victory over Peter Beckford.
Bonamassa was the first singles player off the court after he netted a 6-2, 6-3 win over Steven Hobart, while MCleod lost just two games in a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Terry Gibbs.
Junior
Mark Risbridger (Southampton, England) earned his first singles win of the year, a 6-3, 6-1 win over Shimarhi Shuler. Freshman
Christ-Brian Amedjonekou (Queens, N.Y.) rounded out the singles wins for the Eagles. He turned in a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Leonardo Prudencio of Bloomfield (0-8, 0-6 CACC) 6-0, 6-2.

Dreshawn Lewis (Norwalk, Conn.), the reigning CACC Rookie of the Week, to squeak out a 9-8 (7-2) win at second doubles. Senior

Ethan Siemiesz (New Boston, N.H.) tallied an 8-1 win over Jonathan Waters and Terry Gibbs at third doubles.
The Eagles will step away from CACC play on Monday, April 9, when they host NYIT at Edgewood Bath & Tennis. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
