Men’s Tennis Shutout At Stonehill, 9-0

#10 Team In East Region Earns Non-Conference Win Over Post

EASTON, Mass. – The Post University men's tennis team was shutout by Stonehill in a non-conference match at the Charles Watt Tennis Courts on Wednesday afternoon. The final score of the match was 9-0. Freshman Christ-Brian Amedjonekou (Queens, N.Y.) dropped a closely contested match at first singles.
 
Amedjonekou fell to Eric Ringstad 6-4, 7-5 at the top singles spot. Classmate Dreshawn Lewis (Norwalk, Conn.) and junior Mateus Garcia (Sao Lourenco, Brazil) won three games apiece at second and fourth singles, respectively. Lewis lost his second singles match to Nick Hyzak 6-3, 6-0. Garcia was the victim of a 6-0, 6-3 loss to Aaron Bergeron at fourth singles.
 
The Skyhawks won all three doubles matches to improve to 9-1 on the season.
 
Post (1-5) will return to conference play when it hosts the University of Sciences on Saturday, March 24. First serves at Edgewood Bath & Tennis Club is slated for 1 p.m.
