The Post University volleyball opens up the 2012 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament against top-seeded Wilmington on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. in Newark, Del. The Eagles finished the regular season with a record of 10-17 overall and 9-10 in conference play. Post is making its 11
th CACC Tournament appearance in the last 12 years and holds a 4-10 record in the tournament during the stretch.
Wilmington's lone CACC loss of the season came at Dominican on Oct. 27. The Wildcats finished the regular season at 26-5 overall and 18-1 in conference play. The Wildcats have won 23 straight games at home dating back to last season. Katie Shorter leads the conference with 1.40 blocks per set. The Wildcats are first in the CACC in multiple categories including hitting percentage (.206) and kills per set (12.12).

Kelly Hayes (South Orange, N.J.) led Post with 16 kills to go along with 18 digs. Junior
Emily Wilman (Perth Amboy, N.J.) added eight kills and 12 digs. Sophomore
Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia) put up 32 assists and 13 digs. Graduate student
Vanessa Ramos (Milford, Conn.) added 18 digs.
After falling behind 6-2 to begin the third set, Post staged an 8-2 run to take a 10-8 advantage. Hayes and Wilman scored two kills each during the stretch. Slyaktina capped of 10-4 run by the Eagles midway through the stanza with a kill to give Post a 23-17 lead. Chance ended the set with a kill as the Eagles pulled the match to 2-1.
SERIES HISTORY:Post holds a 1-15 record all time against Wilmington. The only Eagles victory came on the road in 2005.

EAGLES HISTORY IN THE CACC TOURNAMENT:Post is 4-10 in the CACC Tournament since 2001. The Eagles made the Championship match three consecutive years from 2002-2004, but came up empty in each match. Post has dropped its two matches against Wilmington in tournament history, but the two have not played in the postseason since 2004.

EAGLES AMONG CACC LEADERS:Julia Slyaktina is second in the CACC and is seventh in NCAA Division II with 0.62 service aces per set. Slyaktina is fifth in the conference with 841 assists. The Eagles as a team are fifth in the CACC and 52
th in NCAA Division II with 1.79 service aces per set.
REYNOLD RECEIVES HONORABLE MENTION:Kelli Reynolds received an Honorable Mention from the CACC in the Oct. 9 release. Reynolds posted 19 kills while hitting .459 overall and adding a pair of blocks in the Eagles 3-2 defeat at the hands of Caldwell on Oct. 3. She leads Post with 133 kills on the season and is second with six solo blocks and 18 block assists. This marks the second time Reynolds has received the honor in her career, with the first coming on Oct. 17, 2011.
1,000 DIGS FOR THE CAPTAIN:Senior captain
Kelly Hayes (South Orange, N.J.) recorded 11 digs at Franklin Pierce on Sept. 15 to give her 1,000 for her career. Hayes became the seventh student-athlete in Post history to reach the 1,000-dig milestone.
