Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Fall Season At Stonehill Invitational

Christ-Brian Amedjonekou Wins Fourth Singles Consolation; Nicholas Tadros Advances To Flight One Semifinals

EASTON, Mass. – The Post University men's tennis team wrapped up its fall slate as it finished seventh at the Stonehill College Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. Freshman Nicolas Tadros (Montreal, Quebec) won his opening round singles match and sophomore Christ-Brian Amedjonekou (Queens, N.Y.) claimed the consolation draw in Flight 4.
 
Tadros earned a thrilling three-set win in the quarterfinal round over Austin Steelman from East Nazarene University. The final score was 7-6 (8-6), 6-7 (4-7), 10-7. In the semifinals, Tadros lost to Karsten Rathlev, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).
 
In the Flight 4 singles bracket, Amedjonekou lost his opening round match to Nick Hyzak of Stonehill 6-2, 6-1. However, Amedjonekou rebounded to win the consolation bracket with consecutive victories. He bested Mike Parker of UMass Dartmouth 8-4. Amedjonekou prevailed in the consolation championship over Bridgewater State's Alex McGannon 8-3.
 
Post is 1-0 in dual matches after its fall campaign. The Eagles will be back in action this spring.
