The Post University sprint football team will take to the road as it travels to Princeton for a Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) contest on Friday night. Both squads are in search of their first victory of the season, and the Eagles are 2-0 all-time against the Tigers. In the last meeting between the two schools at Princeton, Post earned its first victory in program history with a 33-18 triumph on Oct. 8, 2010.

Despite an early 7-0 lead for the second consecutive week and two touchdown receptions by senior wide receiver
Daniel Awwad, Post University lost a Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) contest to defending league champions, Navy 37-14 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
For the game, Awwad finished with five catches for 88 yards. Defensively, senior
Kyle Lagasse led the Eagles in tackles with 11.5, including five solo stops.
IN THE CSFL RANKINGS:
According to the league statistics, senior linebacker
Kyle Lagasse leads the CSFL in tackles with 34.0, 10 more than a trio tied for second place. Lagasse has led the Eagles in tackles in each of the first two games, including 1.5 tackles for loss. Quarterback
Dwayne Carter sits fourth in the league in passing with 260 yards, and four touchdown passes.
POST-PRINCETON SERIES:
Post leads the all-time series with Princeton 2-0. The Eagles earned their first shutout last season against the Tigers, and have not allowed a point over the last 72:05 of action.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS:
The Tigers' defense is ranked third in the CSFL in defense and averages 289 yards allowed per game. Last week, Princeton outscored Cornell 15-2 in the second half, but its rally fell short in a 22-15 defeat in Ithaca. Offensively, Sean Conrad averages 87.3 rushing yards per game and over five yards per carry. Chris Cadman is the leading tackler (19.5) and paces the Tigers with two interceptions.

Of the nine Post players selected to the All-CSFL teams last season, seven of them are back on the Eagles' roster this season. Post returns First Team All-CSFL tight end

DIVERSE GEOGRAPHIC MAKEUP:
Of the 52 student-athletes on the Post University roster, 11 different states are represented, including 28 from Connecticut, six from California, five from New York, three from Georgia, two apiece from Florida and Texas, and one each from Alaska, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and Virginia. There is also one international player from Ireland.
TRAVELING BAND:
After its Allegiance Bowl matchup with Army, Post will play the final six games of the season on the road. The Eagles are 2-7 all-time on the road. Post earned wins at Princeton in 2010 and at Cornell to open the 2011 season. The 33-18 win over the Tigers marked the first in program history, while the 25-20 triumph opened 2011 against the Big Red.
GIVING BACK TO GREATER WATERBURY AREA:
Since he was hired in January, head coach
Michael Mannetti has made community outreach a priority for his program. Post University hosted the BAGS Foundation All-Star Camp at LaMoy Field. The camp helped Waterbury high school students with the skills and fundamentals of football.
In May, members of the team and coaching staff participated in the Great Strides Walk To Cure Cystic Fibrosis at Ballantine Park in Southbury, Conn. The Eagles walked in honor of Team Ryan's Faith. Ryan Trochsler is a ninth grade student at Waterbury Arts Magnet School.
ON THE HORIZON:
Post will travel to Mansfield, Pa., for a CSFL matchup with the Mountaineers on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m.
