The Post University volleyball team looks to continue their winning streak as they take on two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division foes this week. The Eagles host Caldwell on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. and travel to Concordia on Friday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m.
Caldwell is tied with Post for second in the CACC North Division with a 4-2 conference record. The Cougars are 11-9 overall. They come into the match also riding a two-game winning streak with victories over Concordia and Chestnut Hill. Caldwell is led by Susan McDonough, who leads the CACC with 203 kills.
Concordia has struggled this season and sit at 2-10 overall and 2-2 in conference play. They lost 3-0 in their last two matches to Caldwell and Georgian Court. Alicia Vogel is second in the CACC averaging .54 services aces per set. The Eagles defeated the Clippers, 3-1, on Sept. 6 to earn their first win of the season.
Concordia will be hosting its annual “Dig Pink” game against Post. The event hopes to bring awareness and raise money towards battling breast cancer. Both teams will be wearing pink to promote the cause.

After falling in the first two sets, the Eagles responded by winning the last three on Saturday afternoon to earn their second straight victory. The Eagles had three players with double-digit kills, led by senior
Kelly Hayes (South Orange, N.J.) with a season-high 13. Junior
Emily Wilman (Perth Amboy, N.J.) had double-digit kills for the third consecutive match with 11 on the afternoon. Post recorded season-highs in kills (55), attacks (155), assists (48), and digs (75) in the victory. It was the Eagles first road win against USciences since 2004.

1,000 DIGS FOR THE CAPTAIN
Senior captain
Kelly Hayes (South Orange, N.J.) recorded 11 digs at Franklin Pierce on Sept. 15 to give her 1,000 for her career. Hayes became the seventh student-athlete in Post history to reach the 1,000-dig milestone. Coming into the week, she sits at 1,007 digs and is 12 behind Courtney McGinnis (2001-04) for sixth on the all-time list.
EAGLES AMONG CACC LEADERS
Sophomore
Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia) is averaging .49 service aces per set, good for fourth in the conference. Slyaktina is seventh in the CACC with 358 assists. The Eagles as a team are fifth with 1.80 service aces per set.
PRESEASON PROGNOSTICATIONS:
Post was selected to finish fourth in the CACC North Division in the Aug. 24 poll. The Eagles garnered 55 votes. Caldwell was picked first in the North with 95 votes, while Holy Family was chosen first in the South with 94 votes. Each received 11 first-place nods.
