WATERBURY, CT (December 28, 2011) The Drubner Center will host its first games of the new year as the Dominican Chargers come to take on the Eagles. The women are looking to right the ship and break their current seven game losing streak. The men hope to continue their success as they have won three of their last five.

Scouting the Lady Chargers
Dominican currently leads the CACC North Division at 4-0 in conference play. Those are the only four wins they have so far. Junior guard Lindsey Lopez leads the Chargers offense with 10.9 ppg. She shoots at a 42.9% clip from behind the arc, which is good for second in the conference. Dominican has been two different teams in and out of conference play. Against CACC foes, they average 65.0 ppg compared to 40.4 ppg out of conference. They are grabbing eight more boards and dishing out seven more assists in CACC play.

Scouting the Chargers
The Dominican men have been the opposite of the women, struggling in conference but handling most of their non-conference opponents. They are coming off an undefeated outing as the host team of the James Clancy Memorial Tournament earlier this week, defeating Dowling and Queens. Cory Quimby is a force, leading the CACC with 19.6 ppg and second with 10.9 rpg, which is fourth nationally. He is also in the top ten in blocks with 16 this season. The Chargers shoot 46.2% from the field and dish out 14.2 assists, both good for third in the conference.

Series History
The women have struggled against Dominican over the last five years, winning only one of their ten matchups. The lone victory came at home last season 63-58. Monique Chance had a huge game with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The men have had the Chargers number in recent years, going 9-2 against them. In the opening round of last year's CACC Tournament, the Eagles were victorious, 71-68.
