Four players in double figures led the Post University men's basketball team to a 75-72 victory, the squad's second straight, at Felician on Wednesday night. Seniors
Josh Lopez (Anchorage, Alaska) led the Eagles with 20 points, and
James Lee (Montclair, N.J.) added 18 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
As a team, Post (6-10, 4-3 CACC) bested Felician for the fifth straight time, and completed the regular season sweep of the Golden Falcons. The win also marked the second occurrence during the 2011-12 season that the Eagles notched consecutive wins. Individually, juniors
Jerry Cummings (La Plata, Md.) and Dantay Sanford (Compton, Calif.) notched 12 and 10 points respectively. Additionally, Lopez and Lee combined to make 15 of Post's 27 field goals.
With 2:31 remaining in the second half, Felician took a one-point lead on an Antoine Obery layup that made the score 70-69. However, a Cummings free throw and a dunk by Lee on back-to-back possessions put Post ahead for good. The Lee dunk came off a Felician turnover. Post went 3-for-4 at the free throw line in the final 13 seconds to secure the victory.
