Eagles Eye Second Straight Win At Felician Wednesday Night

Post Continues Four-Game CACC Road Trip In Rutherford

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Post University men's basketball team will look to notch consecutive wins for the second time this season as the Eagles take on Felician Wednesday night Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m., at Job Gym.
 
LAST TIME OUT: POST 75, NYACK 74
The Eagles began their four-game road trip with a 75-74 conference win at Nyack on Jan. 12. Post shot a season-high 50 percent from the field in the game and sophomore Zach Krischer (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) led four Eagles in double figures with 15 points. With the win, the Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak. Additionally, junior Jake Wilcox (Kent, Wash.) posted 10 assists and just one turnover.
 
WILCOX PROVIDES ASSISTANCE:
Against Nyack, Junior guard Jake Wilcox (Kent, Wash.) totaled 10 assists against one turnover to raise his season totals to 82 assists and 46 turnovers. He had five helpers in each half in the Eagles' one-point win. For the game, Post had 16 assists on 29 field goals. The Eagles committed just eight turnovers, a two-to-one assist-to-turnover ratio.
 
SERIES HISTORY:
Post has won four straight games over Felician dating back to Jan. 28, 2010. Most recently, the Eagles bested the Golden Falcons at the Drubner Center with an 83-71 victory on Dec. 3. The win marked Post's first of the 2011-12 season and Josh Lopez (Anchorage, Alaska) led the Eagles with 22 points, five rebounds and three steals. In the last 10 games Post is 6-4 against Felician.
 
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN FALCONS:
Felician has won four of its last six contests, including a 70-56 triumph over Dowling on Monday night. Forward/center John Tello leads the Golden Falcons with 14.5 points per game. He shoots 62.5 percent from the field and 33.3 percent (25-for-75) from distance. Tello is the only player on the team to start all 15 games this year. Guard Antoine Obery averages 12.4 points per game and leads the team with a team-high 6.4 rebounds per game.
 
ON THE HORIZON:
Post will continue its four-game road trip at Holy Family on Saturday, Jan. 21. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m.
