WATERBURY, Conn. (March 26, 2011)---The Post University men's tennis team fell to Chestnut Hill, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon inn Philadelphia.
The Eagles' Danny Banamassa defeated Chestnut Hill's Stephan Wolfert, 6-4, 6-0, in an impressive straight-sets victory.
The rest of the Eagles fell short in singles competition, as Alamin Ripon snapped a three-match winning streak by falling to Juan Farah, 6-2, 6-0.
Banamassa and Mark Risbridger put up a valiant effort against Chestnut Hill's Ross Gabradeian and Julius Twyman, but ended up falling, 8-4.
Post University returns to the courts on Monday when they travel to Old Westbury, N.Y., to take on the New York Institute of Technology.
