NYACK, N.Y. (February 9, 2011)— Cecil Stinson* scored 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting from three-point range, and Post University came away with a hard-fought, 72-68 victory over Nyack College on Wednesday night.

It wasn't as easy as last time. On December 11, the Eagles destroyed Nyack, 94-55, in a game that cemented the Eagles' place as CACC contenders.

Wednesday night, the Warriors were looking for payback, and they almost sent the Eagles back across the Hudson with their most painful loss of the season.

But the Eagles' backcourt wouldn't let it happen.

Garvin McAlister had 17 points and 6 assists for the Eagles (10-10, 8-4 CACC), and Stinson hit three huge three-pointers in the second half to lock down the win.

James Omayo led the Warriors (2-17, 0-11 CACC) with 28 points.

The Eagles got off to a blistering start, jumping out to a 17-8 lead with just five minutes gone by in the first half. They took a 35-23 lead into the break.

Nyack has lost 10 straight.

Post University returns to the scenic Drubner Center on Saturday to take on Holy Family University. The action begins at 3 pm.
