WATERBURY, Conn. (February 4, 2011)--- The Post University men's and women's basketball teams travel to Wilmington Saturday to take on the Goldey-Beacom Lightning.

The action begins with the women's game, which features junior guard Jacinda Jones, who leads the team in scoring at 14.4 points per game.

Forward Arielle Alford has also been solid for the Lightning (9-10, 7-5 CACC), averaging 12.5 points per game.

The Eagles (7-11, 5-6 CACC) are coming off a tough, 57-48 victory over Georgian Court University on January 29.

Kelli Reynolds leads the Eagles in scoring  at 10.9 points per game. Guard Taylor Doyle should give the Eagles a boost, coming off a solid performance against Georgian Court. The 5-6 junior hit two key three-pointers in the game, which was her home debut.

The men's team will test themselves against a tough Goldey-Beacom squad that was recently ranked No. 9 among East Region Division II teams.

The Lightning (13-8, 8-3 CACC) are led by senior forward Terrence Parkes, who averages 19.2 points per game.

Senior guard Sam McDuffie anchors the backcourt, averaging 15.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

The Eagles (9-9, 7-3 CACC) have received an outstanding contribution from Geraldo Fernandez, who became eligible in early January after transferring from Sullivan Community College in New York. The 6-3 guard is averaging 17.3 points per game and has added plenty of energy on the defensive end of the floor.

The men's game is scheduled to tip at 3 pm.
