WATERBURY, Conn (February 28, 2011) Post University's men's basketball team will host the Dominican Chargers in the opening round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Tuesday March 1 at 7pm.

Tuesday No. 2 Post University hosts No. 4 Dominican College in the first round of the CACC Tournament. The Eagles are 2-0 against the Chargers this season winning 69-60 on December 1 at Dominican and 56-51 on February 17 at home.
The last two games of the season have seen thrilling performances with two late game three point buckets from
Geraldo Fernandez that ended up being game winners against Caldwell and USciences.
The Eagles are looking to turn their track record in the playoffs around tonight. Since 2001, the they are 2-5 in first round games in the CACC Tournament and 1-2 when those games were played at home. The Eagles have not won a first round playoff game in three the last seasons. However, this year's team has a very different look than it has in years past.
Scouting Dominican: Senior center Almin Hodzic averaged 19 points in the two games against Post this season. Hodzic averages 15.1 points, 9 rebounds per contest and is ranked 5th nationally with 3.3 blocks per game. The Chargers have won their last two games of the season against Nyack and Goldey-Beacom.
Much Improved: The Eagles currently boast their best record since the 2002-2003 season when they went 19-10 (15-5 CACC) en route to the conference title. Currently Post University is 16-10 (14-4 CACC) and are riding a seven game win streak, the second longest of the last decade.
