WILMINGTON, DE (October 8, 2011) The Post University women's soccer team defeated Goldey-Beacom Saturday afternoon 1-0 in an overtime thriller. The victory ties the Eagles at third in the CACC standings with a 5-5-0 (5-3-0) record.

The Eagles were outshot 20-7, but the goalkeeping of Grace McConnell kept the game scoreless after 90 minutes of action. She had five saves on the day.

Just over a minute into the overtime period, Renel Dennis found Elin Nyman behind the defense. Nyman put it home to give the Eagles their fourth consecutive victory.

Sara Cramer and Nyman each had two shots on goal in the effort. With the loss, Goldey-Beacom falls to 4-5-0 (3-4-0).

The women will be back home on Tuesday afternoon against Bloomfield.
