Men's basketball rolls over Felician, 65-48

Garvin McAlister scored 22 points and grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds, and Post University hammered Felician College, 65-48 Thursday night in Orangeburg, N.Y.

McAlister doubled his season scoring average, and dished out 5 assists in a teriffic performance.

Forward Geraldo Fernandez also had an outstanding night, knocking down six of nine three-point attempts for 18 points in his second career game with the Eagles.

Fernandez became eligible to play last week after transferring from Sullivan Community College in New York.

Post University shut down Felician's two top scorers, forwards Devon Young (19.8 PPG) and Suquan Gary (14.0 PPG), holding the tandem to just 22 combined points. 

The Eagles held Young to 2-for-10 shooting from the field, which was his worst performance of the season. 

The Golden Falcons (5-10, 1-6 CACC) shot just 34 percent for the game, including going an absolutely freezing 6-for-29 (20.7 percent) in the first half.


Post University (7-7, 5-1 CACC) remains a game behind Bloomfield College (9-4, 6-0 CACC) in the rugged North Division. 

The Eagles will return to the hallowed halls of the Drubner Center on January 19 to take on Concordia College. Tip time is set for 8 p.m.
