Post University Women's Soccer Falls to Nyack 4-3 in CACC Opener

NYACK, NY (September 8, 2010) Post University's women's soccer team lost its first conference game of the season  to Nyack College 4-3 Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles are now 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.

Nyack led at the half 3-0 and looked to carry that momentum into the second half. Post University's Meaghan Hansen scored her first goal of the season 1:26 into the half, putting Nyack on the defensive early.However,  Nyack's Alisha Smith extended the lead to four with a goal of her own.

Then it was Rachael Shivers who found the back of the net for the Eagles. Ten minutes later, Stephanie Marran netted her first career goal cutting the Nyack led to one, but it would be as close as the Eagles would get losing 4-3.

The Eagles will be back in action again Friday against C.W. Post at the Molloy College Tournament.
