The Second Game:

The first game jitters are now gone as Post University opened its foray into the Collegiate Sprint Football Game with a 42-14 loss to Penn Friday night in Philadelphia. In their second game, the Eagles will take on the undefeated Cornell Big Red on the road.

Give me a Chance:
Sophomore Derrick Chance is in the Post University record book as being the first to score a touchdown in school history. Chance was setup nicely by his teammates in a drive that started in the third quarter. David Boyle intercepted a pass at the Eagle five and ran the ball all the way to the end zone, but a penalty was called at the ten yard line bringing the ball back. Post University worked the ball up the field slowly before quarterback Sir-Darryl Johnson launched a 37 yard pass caught by Daniel Awwad at the Penn four with time expiring in the third quarter. Two plays later, Chance leaped over a defender and into the end zone scoring the first touchdown. Chance would also score on a two point conversion later in the game.

Johnson Throws First TD Pass:
Johnson's ability to move the ball up field put the Eagles on the scoreboard against Penn. Late in the fourth quarter Johnson fired a pass deep into the right corner of the end zone for a Rashaun Reid touchdown. Johnson had 15 pass completions for 153 yards in the game.

Time to Clean Up:
The Eagles still have some work to do as they need to fine tune some areas of the game. Post University gave up 10 penalties against Penn for 147 yards. Two times those penalties happened on drives that led to a Quaker touchdown.

Interceptions
Post University had two interceptions for 158 yards against Penn. Boyle ran his back for 94 yards before the flag flew on the play. Daniel Koerber had the other in the first half for 58 yards.

Scouting the Big Red:
Cornell is coming off a 33-12 road victory over Princeton last weekend. With a 33-6 advantage Cornell emptied the bench saving the starters for the rest of the season. Princeton was kept to eight yards rushing on 30 attempts and only gave up 123 yards in the game.

Well Rounded:
Cornell has one of the most balanced teams in the CFSL. Kicker Alex Perilstein is 4-for-5 in field goal kicking, including a made 40 yard attempt at Princeton.  Douglas Famularo leads the team in rushing with 128 yards, Elliot Corey has 82, and Brendan Miller has 62.

The Big Red have used three different quarterbacks this season led by Corey averaging 101 yards per game. Miller has thrown for 76 yards a game.  The kicker Perilstein has thrown one pass that was incomplete.

Defensively Timothy Dooley leads the team with 11 tackles, while Clayton Hemminger has two interceptions for 38 yards.
