WATERBURY, Conn.—(December 30, 2010) American International College defeated Post University, 76-56 Thursday night at the Drubner Center. 

Allen Aragbaye led the Yellowjackets (9-2, 5-1 Northeast 10) with 20 points. Isiah Wallace added 14 points and 5 rebounds for AIC. 

The Yellowjackets raced out to a 11-2 lead and never looked back, leading 35-21 at the half. American International shot a torrid 63 percent in the second half, compared to the Eagles' 33 percent. 

AIC dominated the paint, outscoring the Eagles 22-12 and rarely allowing second-chance opportunities.  Denzel Jackson had a game-high 14 rebounds and notched 7 assists in a solid all-around effort.

Garvin McAlister led Post University (5-6, 3-1 CACC) with 14 points and 6 rebounds.

Spencer Smith had 12 points for the Eagles, and recorded his 800th career point with 1:22 remaining in the game, dropping a left handed layup in off the glass. 

Ronnie Sawyer added 11 points for Post University.

The Eagles will return to action January 2 when they travel to Long Island to take on the C.W. Post Pioneers. 

They return to the Drubner Center on January 8 to host CACC rival Wilmington University.
