Basketball Double Header Slated for Tuesday against Caldwell

WATERBURY, Conn (January 4, 2010) – Post University's Men's and Women's Basketball teams will host Caldwell College on Tuesday night at the Drubner Center. Tip off for the Women's game is 6pm with the Men's game to immediately follow at 8pm.

Women's Basketball:
Post University's Women's Basketball team has had a long break after playing their last game on the road against Pace on December 13th. Pace won the contest 79-46. Freshman Aubrey Latham led the Eagles with 14 points and 11 rebounds. At this point in the season, Latham has already had three double double efforts.

Scouting Caldwell:
Caldwell's Women's Basketball team is also looking for their first conference win of the season (4-5,0-2). Torey Jones is currently 6th in the conference for scoring with 15.0ppg and 6rpg, and Kirsty Leedam who is averaging 14.5ppg. Similar to the Eagles, Caldwell has not played since December 20th when they defeated East Stroudsburg 61-53

Who to Watch:
Both Latham and Elizabeth Johnson are ranked among the top 25 in average points per game scored in the CACC. Latham scores an average of 11.1ppg, while Johnson is making 10.4ppg.

Men's Basketball:
Post University's Men's Basketball team currently holds a 4-8 record after a road win against American

Trevon Hamlet
International College 70-62. Caldwell (1-9, 0-2) defeated Mercy College 73-50 over the weekend for their only win of the season.

Scouting Caldwell:
The Cougars offer a balanced attack. None of Caldwell's players scored above 10 points per game on average however, five players including Antonio Brimley and Peter Diffley who average just under nine points per game, as well as Matt Cohen, Malcolm Austin, and Tyler Emmonds scoring roughly seven points per game.

Hamlet Reaches 200:
In the Eagles last game against AIC, Freshman Trevon Hamlet scored his 200th point in just 12 games. In the effort, Hamlet tallied 20 against the yellow jackets.
