Tiffany Verni enters her fourth season as the Post University Women's Volleyball head coach for the 2025-26 season.
The third season for Verni would yield a myriad of success for the program as the Eagles would go to their first CACC Championship Game since 2018, facing Georgian Court University before falling in three sets. However, the 20-11 season for Post would be their most since 2016 when they won 26 games under Michael Brienza and went to their third NCAA Tournament.
In conference play, Verni's team won the CACC North Division for the first time since 2018, eliciting the second-highest conference winning percentage with a 13-3 (.812) record for a single season. Under her guidance, four players made the CSC Academic All-District Team, seven made the CACC All-Academic Team, and Maria Fernanda Branco was named the Top XVII Award winner for the conference.
Verni also coached libero Alyssa Groves to the program's first CACC Defensive Player of the Year award, which also netted her CACC All-Conference First Team accolades, as well as D2CCA and AVCA All-East Region First Team honors, and the first D2CCA All-American First Team award in program history. That same year Kristina Peric was named CACC All-Conference Second Team and Hannah Brandt to the Third Team.
In her first season (2022), the Eagles finished 10-20 overall and 8-10 in the CACC, earning the fourth seed in the North in the conference tournament. The Eagles took the eventual champions, Jefferson to five sets. Lydimar Soto was named to the CACC All-Conference Third Team. Teammate Kaitlyn Lemmon was named to the CACC All-Academic Team. The second season under Verni would yield a similar postseason result, falling in the CACC Quarterfinals in straight sets to the Rams with Caley Harper being named CACC All-Conference Second Team.
Verni replaced Michael Brienza, who retired following 14 seasons as the school's women's volleyball head coach.
Most recently Verni was an assistant coach at the University of New Haven (UNH) for the 2021 season. During her time there, the Chargers were 22-10 overall and 10-3 in the Northeast-10. The team had a 12-game winning streak during the season and earned a spot in the NE10 Championship game. They also earned a bid as the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Division II East Regionals.
Verni has also been head women's volleyball coach of the Connecticut Juniors since 2021.
Prior to her time at UNH, Verni was a graduate assistant coach at the University of New Hampshire from 2019-2021. In 2019, the Wildcats had their best start in over 40 years, winning 14 of their first 20 games. That season, the Wildcats finished second in the America East Conference and an invite to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC).
Verni was also a standout athlete at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) where she set numerous school records on the volleyball court. Those records include single season records in kills with 525 and attack attempts with 1,586. She is fifth all time in kills at the school with 1,508 and third in attack attempts with 4,367. She tallied 503 kills as senior – No. 8 on the single-season list – and had personal-best 30 kills at Mercy on Sept. 25 2018, which ranks fourth in a single match in NYIT history.
In 2016, she led the Bears to the East Coast Conference title and the No. 1 seed in the NCAA East Regional. In the 2018 season she finished the regular season ranked third in the nation in kills (503), and 10th in both kills per set (4.41) and points per set (4.8).
She was named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Volleyball Player of the Year in 2018 as well as the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Offensive Player of the Year. She is a three-time All-ECC and ECAC First team member and a two-time American Volleyball Coaches Association All-East Region First team member and D2CCA First Team All-Region Member.
