Richard McCallum joined Head Coach Meagan Ryan's coaching staff in August 2025 as the Goalkeeper Coach for the Women's Soccer program.

McCallum brings a variety of professional playing experience in addition to his extensive coaching experience, both in the United States and Jamaica. In a playing career spanning from 2001 until 2017 in goal, McCallum started with Seba United in Jamaica before playing for Wadadah Football Club and Invaders Football Club, all for one year each. From 2005 to 2015, he was a part of the Jamaica Senior Men's National Team, playing in 11 games during his stint, while also playing from 2004-17 with Waterhouse Football Club. McCallum also spent one season each with DC United Trialist (MLS) and Puerto Islanders Trialist (NASL) along the way.

As part of Waterhouse FC, McCallum's team won the RSPL Premier League Championship in 2005-06, the Flow Cup in both 2008 and 2013, and the Jackie Bell, along with the RSPL League in 2014. During the 2014 season, McCallum was also named the RSPL Personality of the Year and Player of the Month in April. As part of the Jamaica Senior Men's National Team, McCallum was part of a Lunar Cup Championship in 2007 and a Digicel Caribbean Cup in 2010. At the start of his career, he also earned the RSPL Junior Player of the Year in 2003-04 with Invaders FC. 

As a coach, McCallum got his start in 2013, spending three years with Waterhouse FC's U13-15 program in Jamaica, helping lead drills until 2017, when he was named Waterhouse FC's Goalkeeper Coach for a season and helped train the first team goalkeepers. Most recently, McCallum was the Head Coach at Brooklyn Soccer Center in New York from 2018-20, developing and coordinating soccer curriculum for players ages 4-12. 

McCallum currently has a USSF Grassroots License and resides in Bridgeport, Connecticut.Â
