Karly Bihner joined the Post University Athletic Training Department in August 2023 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Bihner covers the Women's Ice Hockey and Women's Lacrosse teams.Â
Previously residing in Oakdale, Minnesota, Bihner possesses an extensive sports background which included three years as an outside hitter for Hamline University while earning her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.Â
While getting her Masters of Science in Athletic Training at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Points, Bihner served as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Women's Volleyball program for a season under head coach Lyndsay Kooi in which the Pointers finished 26-8 and went to the NCAA Tournament.Â
From there, Bihner worked extensively with a number of athletic programs at UW-Stevens Point inlcuding Women's Soccer, Men's Basketball, Football (off-season), and Baseball while also assisting at the Pointer Open Wrestling Tournament and at Waupaca High School from 2021-2023.
During that two-year stretch, Bihner also spent a full season assisting Division I University of St. Thomas' Women's Ice Hockey program, assisting in injury care, administrative duties, and creating care/rehab plans for various athletic injuries.Â
Bihner graduated with her masters degree in Athletic Training in May 2023 after earning her bachelors in Exercise Science back in May 2021.Â
