Christopher Huntington joined as a Women's Ice Hockey assistant coach in August 2023.

Huntington has been involved in the game of hockey his whole life, from growing up as a coach’s son at Canterbury Prep School in New Milford, Connecticut to playing NCAA hockey at Union College. At Canterbury, Huntington played both defense and forward, and co-captained the team to a DI New England Prep School final four appearance. While at Union, Chris played four years as a center and right wing.

In 2015, Huntington entered the Union College Hall of Fame as a member of the first Union team to win an ECAC Championship and appear in the NCAA tournament. After College Chris skated professionally with several teams in Europe and served as the Head Coach for ESC Munich in the German DEL.

Most recently, Huntington was the GM and Owner of the Vail Yeti Sr. A team, before selling the organization in 2022. Located in Vail, Colorado, under Chris’ direction, the organization grew into a successful semi-pro team consisting of former professional and college players, routinely selling out the arena for home games.

In the summer he operates the Vail OverSpeed Hockey Camp in Colorado and is focused on helping to promote the game for everyone.

He currently resides in New Fairfield, Connecticut with his wife Alison and daughter Hanna.
