Shane Doyle joined Post University for his first season under head coach Marc Kuntz during the 2023-24 campaign.
Doyle, a seasoned veteran in the world of college basketball, has made stops at all levels of NCAA basketball after his arrival to Waterbury, Connecticut.
The Quinnipiac graduate got his start with the Bobcats from 2012-14 while getting his undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism when he was the team manager for the men's team which involved program organization and scouting report assistance.
After graduating, Doyle moved on to spend two seasons at Bridgewater State University from 2014-2016, where he was in charge of recruitment, scouting reports, skill development, and was the Assistant Director of the Bears Basketball Camp.
From there, Doyle spent the next two years (2016-2018) as an assistant coach for Putnam Science Academy. Doyle coached over 20 players who went on to become Division I student-athletes and while at Putnam, won the 2017-18 National Prep School Championship after leading the team to a 38-4 record.
In 2018, Doyle would return to school to get his masters in higher education and learning organization leadership at Wagner College while taking on the role of Director of Basketball Operations for the men's team during their 2018-2021 seasons. During his time with the Seahawks, he would see the team win the NEC Regular Season Championship during the 2020-21 season along with netting the NEC Rookie and Player of the Year and two All-NEC First Teamers.
Prior to joining the Eagles, Doyle spent the last two years (2021-2023) as an assistant coach at Iowa Western Community College where he helped three more players earn First and Second Team All-Region honors between the two seasons he spent with the Reivers.
