Assistant coach Marcus Wellman will be a first year assistant coach under Marc Kuntz in the 2018-2019 season.
Wellman earned his bachelors degree in Business Administration/Management from Franklin Pierce University in 2010. While there, Wellman played on the men’s basketball team for four years and served as a captain his junior and senior seasons. Wellman went on to earn his masters in sports management from University of New Haven. Wellman also served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at New Haven while earning his masters. His duties included overseeing team academic performance, travel coordination and recruiting. Wellman contributed to recruiting an all conference rookie performer in his two years at UNH.
Wellman was also a standout athlete at Hamden Hall High School. He served as both a football and basketball captain while also receiving all-conference honors in both sports.
