Since his arrival, the Eagles have made the CACC Tournament five times and during the 2023-24 season, were nationally ranked for the first time in program history.

Returning nearly everyone from that NCAA Tournament team for the 2024-25 campaign, Kuntz's squad was able to secure the second seed in the North Division, leading the Eagles to their first CACC Championship Game since 2003-04, where they fell to the University of Bridgeport, 67-57, finishing the season with an 18-13 record.

The 2023-24 season marked the first time in program history that the Eagles made the NCAA Tournament, getting in with an at-large bid, which turned into their first NCAA Tournament win in program history against St. Thomas Aquinas College, 80-72, before falling to the eventual East Region Champions in Southern New Hampshire University in the Second Round.

During December 2023, Post was ranked 23rd in the D2CSC National Poll and jumped as high as 11th in January while ranking first in the East Region Poll for the first time in program history as well. In the NABC Poll, the Eagles shot as high as 18th in the nation under Kuntz's guidance during the season.

In 2015-16, under head coach Bill Herrion, Kuntz helped guide the Wildcats to the first 20-win season in school history as UNH finished 20-13 and earned a spot in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). Kuntz was responsible for recruiting 2015 America East Rookie of the Year, Tanner Leissner as well as three All-conference honorees.

Prior to his time at New Hampshire, Kuntz had a seven-year stint at UMass Lowell, serving as the associate head coach for two seasons. While at UMass Lowell, Kuntz was responsible for recruiting, scouting, player development and community and alumni outreach. He helped the River Hawks to the 2010 Northeast-10 Tournament Championship and four-straight trips to the NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 80-43 in his tenure.

In 2004-05, Kuntz served as head coach at Wilmington (Ohio) College for a year after a season as the assistant. He led the squad to a nine-game improvement in his one season at the helm.

Kuntz three years at Norwich where he served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Having brought in two recruiting classes, he was vital in helping the Cadets emerge from a 6-18 record in 2001-02 to a 14-12 clip in 2002-03, which marked the first winning season at Norwich in six years.

A 2000 graduate of Xavier, Kuntz was a student manager under the late Skip Prosser for three years while receiving his degree in sports management. While at Xavier, he worked with current and former NBA players James Posey and David West.
