Jocquis Sconiers begins his third season at Post University in 2013-14. He graduated with his A.A in Physical Education and moved on to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. While he was there he played under Coach Sokaitis.  

Most recently he was named assistant coach of the Tanzanian National Basketball Team and coached with Sokaitis with the semi-pro Alaska Dream.

In 2007, Sconiers serves as an assistant basketball coach at the University of Fairbanks under Clemon Johnson former NBA Champion for the Philadelphia 76ers
 
As an athlete, Sconiers was part of the first Division II team to ever win a Division I tournament. The team also won a conference championship in 2003 in addition to a sweet sixteen berth in 2004. He graduated with a B.A. in Sociology in 2005 and a Masters in Education in 2011.

Prior to attending Alaska Fairbanks, Sconiers attended Mt. San Jacinto Community College in Hemet, CA where he played under the winningest coach in California Junior College history.  The team was conference champions twice, and Sconiers received defensive player of the year honors for the foothill conference in 2002.

Sconiers is married to Tiffany Sconiers and has a daugher Aaliyah.
