Chris Tipton returns to Post University during the 2025-26 campaign for his second season under head coach Marc Kuntz after helping the Eagles to a 18-13 record and a CAAC conference tournament finals appearance.
Tipton and Kuntz reunite after having worked together at Wilmington College. During his time at Wilmington, Tipton was primarily tasked with practice/game planning, scouting reports and recruiting. Tipton helped recruit an OAC Player of the Year-Runner up, Two OAC First Team players and was instrumental in the 9-win improvement during Kuntz’s first season at the helm.
Tipton brings 21 years of coaching experience, most recently, coaching in the prep ranks at Lebanon High School (OH) leading the Warriors to a 19-5 record, Southwest District Runner-Up and an ECC Championship in his final season. In addition to Lebanon, Tipton has coached with Hall of Fame coach Joe Petrocelli at Archbishop Alter High School (OH) and Will Rey at Northridge Preparatory School (IL). Tipton has also been a longtime staple at 5-Star basketball camp.
Tipton is a Capital University graduate where he was a four year letterman in baseball. He earned his Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Dayton. He currently works as an Educational Consultant.
