WATERBURY, Conn. – History was made at LaMoy Field on Sunday morning as, for the first time in school history and the State of Connecticut, Women's Flag Football was played collegiately. Announced early last year, Post University became the first school in the state to have a Women's Flag Football program, which was slated to start play this spring.
After having their inaugural games on the road against Holy Family University and Manor College canceled due to snow in Pennsylvania, this Sunday was a different story as history could officially be made. Playing against Wagner College, a second-year Flag Football program, the Eagles were shut out in the pair of games, 26-0 and 13-0.
