WATERBURY, Conn. -- It was another big week on the award front for Post University Athletics as both Post University Men's and Women's Basketball each earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honors via junior forward

Derrick Thomas II, while freshman infielder
Andrew Rhymestine was named CACC Rookie of the Week and graduate outfielder
Andrew Hartman was on the CACC Honor Roll as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Alyssa Rossignol - CACC Player of the Week - Women's Basketball
Rossignol dominated on both sides of the ball for Post as the Eagles roll into the CACC Tournament on a six-game winning streak after taking down both Dominican (N.Y.) and Georgian Court University on the road by double digits to close the regular season. Rossignol led Post by averaging 25.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while dishing out 3.0 assists per game and shooting 19-for-34 (55.9%) overall. The junior also shot 12-for-13 (92.3%) from the free-throw line, and picked up a block, while finishing with her first double-double of the season against the Lions with 25 points and 10 rebounds in that 64-47 win.
Derrick Thomas II - Honor Roll - Men's Basketball
Thomas II continued the best stretch of his career with Postl, averaging 29.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the Eagles during their 1-1 final week of the regular season. Thomas II put up 28 points in a 97-78 loss to Dominican (N.Y.) on the road before tying the career high he set in points just over a week ago against Goldey-Beacom College, with 30 points in a 74-72 win against Georgian Court University. Thomas II closed the week shooting 20-for-44 (45.5%) overall, 4-for-8 (50%) from three, and 14-for-19 (73.7%) from the free-throw line.
Andrew Rhymestine - Rookie of the Week - Baseball
Rhymestine had a five-RBI weekend for Post against Cedarville University as the Eagles finished 2-2 against the Yellow Jackets with a pair of doubleheader splits. Rhymestine batted .556 overall, going 5-for-9 with a double, five RBIs, four walks, and two runs scored, which included three RBIs in game two of Sunday's 19-6 doubleheader win.
Andrew Hartman - CACC Honor Roll - Baseball
Hartman delivered a big weekend for Post during their 2-2 series against Cedarville University. Hartman finished with a .333 batting average, going 4-for-12 with two doubles, a triple, seven RBIs, six runs scored, and two walks, including a five-RBI game on Sunday in a 19-6 win for the Eagles.
