WINCHENDON, Mass. – Sophomore forward Mario Paganini scored the game-tying and go-ahead goals for Franklin Pierce University on Saturday night, helping the Ravens overcome an early 2-1 deficit against Post University Men's Ice Hockey for the 4-2 win, as the Eagles split the weekend series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore forward Giovanni Ursillo would break through against senior goalie
Benjamin Cunneen, netting his first goal of the season, with 12:02 left in the first, snapping the three-period scoreless drought that the Ravens had against Post. But that lead would be short-lived as senior forward
Joe Santoro was aided by freshman forward
AJ Guzzardi on his third goal of the season to tie it up at one all less than three minutes later.
It would then be sophomore forward
Max Beaulac's turn to score for the Eagles, giving them their first lead of the evening with the help of sophomore defenseman
Aidan Canady and senior forward
Baxter Kimball, and only 21 seconds left in the frame. Leading 2-1 after one, Post had a 13-7 edge in shots on goal as Cunneen made six saves compared to 11 saves for senior goalie Jeremy Connor.
Paganini would waste no time scoring the game-tying goal, only 18 seconds in the second on a power play from senior forward Austin Pick and junior forward Nick Fish. Pick would go on to assist on Paganini's go-ahead goal in the third, before netting the empty netter to secure the 4-2 win for the Ravens. Both Pick and Paganini finished with three-point games, while Connor stopped 34 shots in net for Franklin Pierce.
Cunneen would take the loss for Post, making 33 saves while allowing three goals, but kept his team in the affair late in the third when he made a somersaulting save against Fish during a five-minute major penalty issued to Beaulac. The Eagle penalty kill finished the game 6-for-7 on the night, allowing only the first-period goal to Ursillo.
