Leopold Dufaut saw their names appear in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Awards for the second straight week as they were named CACC Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, for the Post University Women's Volleyball and Men's Soccer programs. Joining them in the weekly honors was freshman defender
Pedro Vercosa as the Men's Soccer CACC Defensive Player of the Week and graduate outside hitter
Kristina Peric on the CACC Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Alyssa Groves - Defensive Player of the Week - Women's Volleyball
Groves led the Eagles with 44 digs across three matches for an average of 4.89 digs per set as Post swept all three of their opponents this week. Groves accounted for 11 total service aces, including eight during Saturday's tri-match against Saint Michael's College and St. Thomas Aquinas College, to go along with nine assists and one kill.
Kristina Peric - Honor Roll - Women's Volleyball
Peric helped lead the Eagles to three straight sweeps this week, leading the team with 34 kills on 108 attempts with only 13 errors for a .194 attack percentage. Peric averaged 3.78 kills per set to go along with 39 digs, four total blocks, three assists, and two service aces.
Leopold Dufaut - Goalkeeper of the Week - Men's Soccer
Last week's CACC Goalkeeper of the Week, Dufaut, turned in another impressive week for Post, allowing just one goal across 180 minutes in net for the Eagles, who went 1-0-1 with a win over Jefferson University and a tie against Gannon University. Dufaut made 10 saves during the week, including six against the Rams, to earn his first shutout of the season and improve to 1-0-3 in net.
Pedro Vercosa - Defensive Player of the Week - Men's Soccer
In the two matches of the week for the Eagles, Vercosa scored his first collegiate goal against Jefferson University to help Post win their first match of the season, 1-0, over their conference opponent. Vercosa played all 180 minutes on the defensive end this week for a Post defense that allowed just one goal, against Gannon University, which was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll this week.
