WALTHAM, Mass. – Seven combined errors in the doubleheader season finale for Post University Softball would lead to them ending the season on a 10-game losing streak with a pair of losses to Bentley University, 10-1 in five innings, and 5-4 in the final game of the 2025 campaign on Wednesday afternoon on the road. The Eagles led by two entering the bottom of the sixth in game two, before three errors led to four Falcon runs, leading to the defeat, which sent them to a 4-38 record to end the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: Post University 1, Bentley University 10 (5 Innings)
Senior infielder
Brooke Dickenson gave Post the 1-0 lead in the second inning with her RBI ground out, but it would be the only run the Eagles would have in the five-inning affair. Scoring 10 unanswered runs off of sophomore left-hander
Devin Barnett and sophomore right-hander
Allysa Calabrese combined, the Falcon offense pushed across 10 runs, four of which were unearned, on nine hits, while only striking out once against the two pitchers for Post.
Sophomore outfielder Jess Morrison delivered the big blow in the second inning, after Barnett's hit batter led to the game-tying run, with her bases-clearing triple as part of a five-run frame for Bentley that put them ahead by four, 5-1. Morrison would walk the game off for the Falcons in the fifth inning with her two-run home run as she finished game one going 2-for-4 with a triple, home run, five RBIs, and two runs scored in the 10-1 win.
Freshman utility player
Hannah Searles was a perfect 2-for-2 for the Eagles as they manufactured just four hits against graduate right-hander Riley Piromalli. On the way to her 11th win on the mound this season, Piromalli allowed just one run on those four hits with seven strikeouts and one walk.
Game 2: Post University 4, Bentley University 5
Through the first four innings, only one run would be scored for either side in the form of a double steal for Bentley as senior outfielder Jordan Krause swiped home for the Falcons to give them a 1-0 lead against senior right-hander
Alyssa Hughes. That would be the only earned run allowed by Hughes for the remainder of the game as her final collegiate start saw her go all six innings, allowing five runs (one earned) on six hits with two walks and a hit batter.
Senior infielder
Bailey Dickenson made the most of a two-out error from freshman infielder Bella Burke, turning it into a two-run single off of freshman pitcher Maddie Pickett, giving the Eagles the lead, 2-1. Post would expand on that edge, making it a three-run game, 4-1, after freshman outfielder
Isabella Oliver's RBI single and a sacrifice fly from Searles before three errors in the bottom of the sixth would be the undoing for the Eagles in their season finale.
Back-to-back errors from the defense put runners on second and third with one out, leading to a bases-clearing triple by freshman infielder Becca Harris that tied the game up at four all before freshman centerfielder Carly DiMento's sacrifice fly would prove to be the winning run for the Falcons. Coming in to close out her sixth save of the season, Piromalli set the Eagles down 1-2-3 in the top of the seventh, handing them their 10th straight loss to end the season, 5-4.
